Hi hi, i've got alot to blog about! I'm so sorry i haven't been blogging in such a long time! Anyway, I've finally bought my digital camera! Thank you so much to all of you who've contributed to the digicam fund! And thank you to carine and ah ma who were the main organisers! I couldn't have bought my camera without U guys! Thanks so much leh!

I'm so sorry i can't upload a photo of a camera cos i need it to take a photo of it... haha... but soon i'll upload some photos i took using it! Anyway, this is wat it looks like... Except that i bought the red one... and this one's the silver one...

The specifications include: 6.0 megapixel, 2.5 inch screen, 3x optical zoom with optical image stabiliser and video recording functions with sound... And i got a free tripod, 2 512 SD cards, 1 lens cleaner, 1 extra battery and 1 carrying case... It cost $699 from Best Denki...
So far i'm pretty happy with my camera! I'm sorry everyone for taking so long... cos i was really busy with posting, so got no time to go Sim Lim, Best Denki etc to check out prices and models... and got no time to research cameras on the net for reviews... And now Christmastime got alot of good deals! So yup, i wanted to make every cent worth it! :)

Ok... other things i've been doing include alot of shopping! Goodness... i spent close to $1000 (including the camera) in the past month! Ok, actually past 2 weeks cos i only started spending money after my Paeds end of posting test... Oh dear... But most of it was on presents lah...

I shall try to take photos of everything i bought! Haha... i think i'm trigger happy after getting my new camera...

Oh, i got this game called Wooly Bully from Derrick for my Christmas present! Its really cute! I first played it at Yaosheng's chalet yesterday... then i played it again with Derrick today... haha, i realised i taught them the wrong way to play it yesterday... oops...

Anyway, its a really cute and fun game! :0)

Oh, onto the old stuff... I've been doing my COFM case study... wah, damn hard to do loh... Alot of stuff to write leh! Then i dunno how to squeeze it all in or format it properly...My mind's in a mess!

Ok la, i guess i've more or less posted the gist of everything...

I've been thinking occasionally, (ok, i think all the time but i've been thinking philosophical thoughts) and well, i've seen a couple of patients in the wards i think are worth mentioning...

Patients think they are in hospital to be treated by doctors, but sometimes i feel that we can really learn alot from them too... And when i say "learn", i don't mean "an ESM with a fixed wide spilt = ASD" but rather, learning about life and its ups and downs...

I was speaking to the mum of this girl (who has cyanotic heart disease) and i feel that its incredible how much she's been through for a girl of fifteen... Imagine all that her parents have been through as well... Staying in the ICU, worrying for your newborn who's struggling for her life, who's just been through an operation at only 2 weeks old... I hope that my children will never have to go through this, because i think i won't have the energy to do what this great mum did...

It involves alot of giving and giving, and i felt really touched... A mother's love is really amazing isn't it?

Another point that really inspired me was how she kept praising her daughter's doctors... She kept saying how nice and understanding they were... I was really impressed... So there are really good doctors out there... (I guess i've been really tired for the past few months, and i'm starting to get disillusioned)

During my medicine posting i was tired, and occasionally i even dreaded going to school... and i questioned myself "Why am i doing all this?"... i psychoed myself to think of the future, about being a good doctor... and well, i guess today's conversation gave me good reason to carry on!

Just two days ago there was this article in the forum on a insensitive houseman... Hopefully he isn't as the article depicts him to be...

We must all be good future doctors and uphold the good name of our future profession!
