On Monday, Esther gave me a birthday present! Thank you so much Esther! Its really very sweet of you... I will take a photo of it and upload it sometime to come... (Sorry i very nua so will take some time)

I still haven't figured out if it is a:

Haha... The 16th of November is like one of the best days of my life! (so far...)

haha... firstly we had the CPC session in school, and the lecturer called me a smart girl and offered me a job! (because i could read this X-Ray he showed on the screen) haha...

And the highlight was of course the career seminar! :) Wow, it was inspirational! And i shall not say anymore or i'll practically start gushing and my entry will be pages long!

I had a really fun anaesthesia posting! I'm considering it as one of my future career paths!

Initially i was kinda sad that I got Changi for my anaesthesia posting cos its further away than like TTSH and SGH... But it turned out to be a blessing in disguise i think! I had the most wonderful tutor who was so patient and nice and willing to let me try all the procedures! :) I really enjoy intubating... ok, this may sound weird, but a successful intubation is very satisfying... I feel very happy whenever I see the tube sliding past the vocal cords and 3 point auscultation shows equal breath sounds bilaterally without any gurgling in the epigastrium... And what's challenging about it is that all the time the patient is apnoeic! So you really have to have a sense of urgency... The patient's life is in your hands!

"Its not failure of intubation but failure of ventilation that kills the patient"

Anyway, I really enjoyed my posting cos it was hands on and I had a wonderful tutor who took me through everything... when she was post call, she also got another wonderful colleague to 'babysit' me! :) So well, i had a really fun time there... and it also helped that both of them said I was pretty good at intubating for a 1st timer! Yay... that really made my day... :)

Unfortunately i had difficulty intubating the last few patients for my posting... the tube got kinked somehow and couldn't go down... I was pretty sad... but i guess everything comes with practice!

As my co-tutor put it: "I've been doing this for more than 10 years so I've gotta be better in some ways than newbies..."

Hope opthalmology's as fun! I think I like postings where I can practice my dexterity...

Okok, i'm so sorry i'm so slow... Dunno why also... Was really really busy during the holiday week, so busy in fact that I didn't manage to revise all my Lee Hom songs! haha... But i tried to listen to the recent ones lah...

Anyway, the concert was great! Much Much Much better than the one a few years back... He's gotten more experience and confidence with practice! Wow, he's a really great performer man... So at ease with the stage and the audience... I was really really impressed... the atmosphere was so high! Just wonderful...

The only down side was that I was sitting kinda far away and so i couldn't really see his face clearly... and also that it was shorter than i expected it to be... It started at 8.30 and ended at about 11.00... I thot it was gonna be 3 hours! :( he sang fewer songs than the Taipei concert... I guess its cos he's busy filming his Lee Ang movie lah...
